Tanka, the island’s charm, well known for its cauliflowers and 18 shots of precision and technique

Starting from the city of Cagliari, and travelling along the “GolfodegliAngeli”, going south-east, one leaves Capitana, Geremeas and Solanas behind, enjoyingunforgettable landscapes on the cliffs and sheer descends on the sea, such as the famous tourist attraction Villasimius. Finally one discovers Tanka’s 18 holes, a real “pearl” in the  Sardinian golf reality, which in addition to beingan extremely demanding course, also provides golf players with evocative landscapes of rare beauty.

As stated by the Club’s web-site presentation, the path, which wounds up an area of about 40 hectares with the par 70 and 5450 length, should not deceive golf players expecting a very easy course to play with. On the contrary, technique, precision and concentration are the three must that one has to apply in order to play the course with the right spirit. The course also offers a twelve position practice course, which is indoors and wide green area both joined  by a wonderful putting and pitching green.

A Par 70, combines the difficulty of the course ( seven Par 4, six Par 3 and five Par 5 ) with a wonderful overview on the ‘Island of Cavoli’ and a protected sea area. Regarding the game, the second hole is worth mentioning, as it could deceive ‘the longest’; the 7th hole is short but requires one’s sharp aim; the 13th is a difficult Par 4 due to the the high green position, just as the 14th hole. The following 15th one distinguishes itself for its beautiful landscape and finally the 18th hole brings back to the Club house.
